This is a beautiful 8-string Mandolin Banjo in excellent condition. Not just a great find for the collector, but for serious players.
When purchased about 12 or so years ago, the instrument had been restored and set up by one of Victoria’s leading luthiers. Unfortunately, shortly afterward, an injury prevented the owner from playing the instrument. As a result, it has been carefully stored in the original case.
This is a high-end instrument. A recent expert evaluation indicated it may require minor tweaking but is very playable. It features geared tuners and a straight neck, and the body and drum head are in great shape.

Combine this with a beautifully grained Adirondack top, aged toner, figured cocobolo binding, 18-1 ratio open back tuning machines, forward shifted, scalloped bracing and you have yourself a vintage style Martin in a modern mint condition guitar. It also features a Performing Artist tapered neck, modified low oval C, and a K&K Pure Mini pickup installed.
